If you long for the good old days,
friendly faces, non-commercial setting, family oriented, comfortable rates,
wonderful homemade food . . . The Broken Arrow Resort is here to serve
you. We will arrange for you a horseback adventure to a high mountain
lake. . . perhaps a wild whitewater trip is more what you have in mind. .
. maybe a back country flight to a secluded ranch for a wonderful
breakfast?
The Salmon National Forest offers a
wonderful array of wildlife to watch or photograph, mountain trails for hiking,
biking and exploring, rivers and streams for fishing or just to sit back and
relax and enjoy. Take a step back in time, when life was simpler.
(Click
on the thumbnails for a larger view) We are located
"half way" up Lost Trail Pass on Highway 93, near the Montana border in the North
Fork drainage of the Salmon River drainage. The Broken Arrow is a beautiful
30 minute drive north of Salmon, Idaho.
The restaurant features authentic (and delicious) Mexican food in a charming
setting. Occasionally guests are regaled by a local branch of Old Time
Fiddlers.

You can choose from six cabins that are spread out
on a broad lawn shaded by
poplars and surrounded by pine trees. The cabins share bathrooms and
showers located in a central building (except Cabin Five, which has its own
half-bath). Each cabin is furnished with rustic period beds, dressers, bookcases
(stocked) and tables - these cabins might qualify for the National Register of
Historic Places.

The North Fork of the Salmon River runs just behind the
property and a half-acre pond is stocked with catchable trout. During hunting season, call ahead;
we often book a year in advance.
A
full service RV Park is nestled under welcoming trees. Campsites are also available. We
have cook-out and picnic areas.

Yearly Festivities include:
Annual Cowboy Poetry Fest the day before Father's day. Idaho Cowboy
Poets Association, and poets from Montana and Idaho gather here.
Old Time Fiddler's Campout: the weekend after Labor Day.
